Presume you guys/gals (being pc) have had your varioram 3.8 units recently dyno'd as we don't want any excuses.....you have time just to get it sorted...I don't want a repeat spanking of a mates' 993RS as I left him standing at Bedford only to find he was only producing 265 bhp! So he was straight up to Colin Belton and back to 320BHP+ still out sprinted him ouch.....[;)]

Des,
My motor is fine and I've also had the rear multi-link suspension checked.
Is your Multi-link Ok?[:D]

My old car will be there, which I know is 99% of manufacturers claimed output, surely if there is any deficit in power the average will be made up by Burzels monster.

ah yes the 993 Mutli-Link took a bit of fun out of the rear end snapping out another great revolution in the evolution of the 911, just changed from a 993 varioram was very impressed with it's handling and pose on the road...took it round Brands WHERE IS MY RS!!!!!!!!!!!! mind you I was saying that on the road as well don't get me wrong very very impressed with C2 Varioram and I know it's not an RS but shares a lot of characteristics too tame no buzz on the edge, no badger worrying qualities did'nt even carry my bucket and spade looks and drives lovely so well planted predictable but not mad enough as GT Purely Porsche said..."THE 964RS IS A STEP ABOVE THE GT3RS......A MORE EDGY RACER...."

Edgy is the word there are no two drives the same a bit like sailing, unpredictable charasmatic, addictive full on and in the right hands (not mine) unbeatable....sold it once moved heaven and earth to get it back........

sorry to lament but 15 911's later over 28 years, yes driven the new stuff, for me the 964RS is the Porsche 911 in it's purest form....

So the multi-link and softer springs will have a technical advantage at North Weald but the 964RS has plenty of heart.......the nearest thing Porsche made to a go-kart....the gauntlet is down let's rumble........[;)]

I have read some balls in my time,a 964 more edgy than a 996rs hmmmmmmmmmm,i dont think so,gt have clearly not got a 996 near or past the limit, which is much faster than a 964.
May be i am pist reading this, sorry i ment missed reading this!!

Paul interesting that GTPP chose a 964RS V GT3RS and did not bother with the more modern RS derivatives.....anyway just quoting the educated motoring press. It's good to see some passion on the 993RS at last........!

Plenty of passion here for sure, only been competing with my rs for the last 7 years, but we 993 prefer the stealth approach.
Sounds like your car is so fast, blowing away 993rs cars, all i can say is get your in top shape, there can then be no excuses!!!!!!!!!!!!![:D]
GTPP was free at the nurburgring RMA hospitality unit,i still did not bother to read it!

Paul I have no doubt about your passion and well aware of competiveness in the 993 fraternity it is legendary I do follow the club championships very impressed with your cars and a credit to the 993RS fantastic keep it up. Wish I was blessed with the means to pursue my passion more......it would seem we have all set in our ways the 911 that floats our boat.....some it's the GT3 others 993RS and the 964RS all seem to be the most passionate and dedicated with also the 2.7RSguys whio started it all! I was only having a little banter Paul, like the pre-fight boxers before a big event hyping up the public....I know the 993RS is a very formidable beast and look forward to maybe one day owning a GT2 993 Clubsport one day in addition to the 964RS ....one day.... really look forward to the 9th and sharing the experience you are very welcome to give my little babe a blast and sharing a glass of premier cru the night before....

I suppose all said and done we have our own very 911 loves vivre la differnce mon ami....

Bon Soir et Dorme Bien.....

I know its good banter, all for it.Others from outside might think differantly.[;)]
Big fan of the 64,and even bigger fan of some early lightweights.
I am looking forward to a eve session with you all as well, might even buy around,i know John P will be on coke all night, and mel will be worrying about trying to sleep with a but plug in his camper!![:D]
We also need to fire fast vic up as well, with his tasty CS.
