July Porsche Post & John Sims!

I just had to write in praise of John Sims and his article in the July Porsche Post magazine concerning his visit to the Duxford Car & Bike show.

It says a lot about me and the magazine, that I cannot recall ever having read an article therein more than once and certainly not whilst laughing out loud...

John, your references to the Hi Viz brigade and the dusty roads leading to car display areas were just a couple of the gems that I could relate to and which had me rocking!

Loved the irreverent style and we need more of your musings in future issues, imho[:D]

Great stuff[:)]

Oh gawd, he'll be insufferable now [8|]

I wonder if there's any way my moderating powers can hide this thread from him alone [;)]

p.s you should see John in a hi viz himself - he's even worse

Oh dear, he'll need to keep the sunroof raised from now on then...?

Also loved the comments about concours....

Who's Mostyn then??

He wrote the rather good article on pg 37...[:)]

One or two have asked if he could write again. He wants to watch himself or he could end up having to find somewhere else to live. He is far too good natured to get big headed but I might get jealous.

Thanks for your comments Nick. Sometimes situations are just plain silly and easy to write about. Mostyn has a more difficult job as, once people get over the "Ah what a nice doggy" bit he has to develop another string to his bow. He has a significant advantage over me (aside him being good looking) in that people like to meet him and remember seeing him at events.

He has written a few words on Classics at the Castle which may not be well received by the Classic brigade. Perhaps he is becoming a little irreverent as well.
