Our Meetings are on the FIRST TUESDAY of the Month, NOT as advertised in the Porschephile.
Normally, at The Bear Inn, Berkswell but this month, we were invited to hold our meeting at OPC, Sutton Coldfield.

Alan Westwood, the new Dealer Principal and his staff, did us proud with plenty of food and soft drinks to keep us on our feet.

We provided a good display of cars in the rear car park and investigated the facilities offered at Sutton.
Of course, we all admired the new Billington Cayman, displayed in white with red wheels and looking very RS'ish. Later this month I also met them at Le Mans, a little dustier with the Normandy rain. Many regulars were at Sutton but it was good to meet others who cannot make the Club Nights. All in all a very enjoyable and friendly night so thank you Alan and everyone.

Very close to this issue of PP, is our Sunday the 5th August visit to "˜Auto Historic' at Leek in Cheshire. Those of you who came to the meeting earlier this month will know more. This is an invitation and looking at their brochure, I see Aston Martins, Jaguars and Ferraris, among others, which they have recently been restoring. I understand they will be into one or more Porsches when we go.

The Plan is to meet there at 11am and look around the premises. Then we shall lunch at a local pub. Close by, is the Churnet Valley Steam Railway, which we can visit in the afternoon, so make this a family outing for a change. Please ring me on 01905 620687, so I can let Auto Historic know numbers for food etc. Some of you may wish to go in a group, if you are not at July meeting, ring for information.

CURBOROUGH

The afternoon of Thursday the 9th of August, will see us at Curborough Sprint Track between Lichfield and Burton on Trent. This is situated alongside the old Fradley Airfield, South of Alrewas.
Remember, PCT are sponsoring this Event, so we must put on a good show. There will be a small fee of £15 per car, all of which will be donated to the Local Air Ambulance. Payable on the day by a cheque made out to (as instructed). There are 3 remaining places at this time. Spectators are welcome and I will keep a reserve list, in case some drivers don't turn up. We are keeping the maximum to 25 cars to give everyone a good chance of go's.

PCGB Festival at Ragley Hall on Sunday the 9th September. I have been asked to find some volunteers for an hour or so. If you can spare a little time, without spoiling your day, please call the Club.
