June 14 - R5 Club Night - Car Park Concours & GT Models

This is the evening when, despite the weather, we have a " friendly" car park concours where we all score each others cars and a winner is chosen.
I make the rules up and it' s a good evening to chat and peruse .

Geoff Tattum of GT models wil also attend with his collection of reasonably priced model cars.

Of course you can just meet up with old and new friends at the bar!

We are back in the Gold Suite for this event

I' ll be there, as ever.

Please can I win, my car hasn' t entered a concours competion, friendly or not, before.
As we are the only R5 forum users, no-one will know if I offer bribes. [:D]
What about if I promise that the mini club won' t darken your region again?[;)]

Ladies! Call me ' onest Lloyd please!

Firstly, the Mini adventure was excellent and they were all great guys! I look forward to seeing them again.

Secondly, I haven' t won one of these car park concours yet either... and I organised the last two!

Thirdly, bribery might work, but it' s the other 20-odd owners you have to bribe .. not me!

Anyway, it' only for fun with a few (small) prizes just to get some competition raised. It' s also a reason for giving the car a bit of a clean!

See you both at Castle Howard!
Bye
Lloyd

Ha ha - i' ve now discovered how to get on this forum - so Nicola i shall foil your plan by ensuring Lloyd does not sucomb to briberyPlus i will also wash my car and try and do a bit of concoursing (!!!) GPM[8|]

Hi Graham
Welcome to the forum, beware it can take over your life....[&:]

Glad to see that there will be some competition next month, I was worried that I might upset the boys by winning. I have already booked the valeter.[:D][:D]

BTW are brand new cars allowed to enter a concours? dosn' t it defeat the object.[8D]

Don' t worry! My special " fiddle" factor levels the playing field and it' s always a surprise to me who wins!

Lloyd you said that the mini lot were all great guys! Did you have your eyes shut ? what about the girls they looked better to me. [8D]Hope you have your eyes shut when you look at my car[8|]

Nicola - I have enough things taking over my life already it would seem - never mind PCGB forums. Anyway gotta go and pack now as we' re all (wifey and bin lids) off to Portugal for a week - will miss this weather - NOT![:D][:D][8|]Bye

Good grief Roy - i didn' t know you could use a computor!!![:D] Bit technical for you isn' t it.![:D] Tarraah

One down..... how many more to go? [:D]

I must be able to win if I' m the only entrant.

You' re always welcome! The prizes are not extravagent but open to all who turn-up!
Basics rules are:
1. Up to 20 cars (due to time constraints)
2. Winners have to submit a scoring sheet giving fair scores for all other entrants
3. You can' t give your own cars any points!
4. My decision is final!
5. Any other rules I deem necessary.

It is for fun after all!
Regards
Lloyd

LLOYD, SHOULD YOU DRIVE BY THE DEANWATER ON THE SATURDAY 14TH IN CASE THERE IS A ' FLOOD' OF MEMBERS LOOKING FOR A CONCOURS?

Ah! it' s just a test to see if you read the stuff I write!

But as you say.. it could be embarrassing... looks like I' ll be writing an apology in the next Porsche Post report!

Anyway.. the Car park Concours is for those who make it to Club night so if they don' t come on Wednesday, I won' t be able to tell them I made a mistake!

Where did I get the 14th from?

Sorry once more... see you on Wednesday?
Regards
Lloyd

Lloyd, don' t forget to give it the Concours treatment, you' ve had it since Christmas ! You never know, I might give it a few points, now then about the bribery........

I' m saving my Christmas present for a rainy day!!
Doh! it' s raining when am I going to get the chance to polish it up now ?! :)
