Don't forget the monthly meeting has moved from 11 June to 25 June.[8|]

Tony Holland is organiser (again) of this - it is at Emberton Park (near Olney). Entry fee is £3 per car (no longer free for Porsches [] ). A very social summer occasion - PCGB members outside of R10 welcome - bring food, drink, seating, BBQ (must be off the ground to avoid scorching/fire - a few house bricks will do) and a relaxed mood....[8D]. Could be the odd game of frizbee or football (away from the cars!) - or kites if weather holds!

I've invited a few of the local Aston Martin OC to join us, so even more to look at this year [:)]

I'm sure Tony will add more details if I've missed important things.

See you there.

Mike

Summer BBQ taking place as planned this Sunday at Emberton Park, Nr Olney, Bucks. Arrival time should be anytime from 12:30 onward, I will probably be the first there so look out for a Red (987) Boxster and any other reference to PCGB (not sure what yet).

For guidance I have listed below the park's rules as laid out by the local council and these form part of our H&S as organisers. Please read them as there maybe one or two items which you may not have considered.

Emberton Country Park Rules
In order that the security and standards of the Park are maintained for everyone's enjoyment and pleasure, we ask you to observe the few following rules.

Rule 1 - Vehicles
The speed limit is 10 mph: Vehicles must not go on the grass between November and March. No person shall drive any vehicle at the Park without road tax, insurance, full driving licence or whilst under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

Rule 2 - Noise
Radios/Stero/TVs: Please consider other users of the Park, volume must be kept low. Failure to comply may result in you being asked to leave the Park. No radio/TV noise after 10pm.

Rule 3 - Fires/Barbecues
Camp fires are NOT permitted. Barbecues may be used providing they do not damage grass or the Park's property, therefore they should be raised off the ground before use.

Rule 4 - Dogs
We welcome dogs and responsible dog owners. Dogs must not be left unattended at any time. Dogs are not allowed in the Tea-rooms, Shop, Toilet block or Children's play areas. We request you keep your dog on a lead during the breeding season for wildfowl. Please clean up after your dog for the benefit of all our users.

Rule 5 - Lakes & Rivers?
Grebe Lake is the only Public sailing/boating lake. No access for boats onto the river.

Rule 6 - Boats/Life jackets
Inflatable boats must be BSI standard with wooden floor and of rubberised material. PVC inflatables are not permitted. Life jackets must be worn at all times in the water.

Rule 7 - Swimming/Wading/Paddling
No swimming, wading or paddling allowed within the Park.

Rule 8
Milton Keynes Council or the Park Management are entitled to refuse admission when this appears to be necessary in the interests of the Park and its occupants.

Rule 9
No all male/female parties and no person under the age of 18 years will be permitted to camp at the Park unless they are part of a family unit.

Rule 10 - Fishing
All fish to be returned to the water. Fishing lines must not be left unattended at anytime. Any angler found on a peg containing litter will be held responsible for it and will be asked to clear it up immediately. It is to everyone's benefit to ensure waters are clean and tidy. No lead shot to be used. Only fishing umbrellas may be erected at water's edge. Rod licence and tickets must be shown on request.

Rule 11 - Horses
Horses are welcome in the park providing they remain on the bridleway at all times. Horses may not use the main entrance/drive at any time. Galloping is not permitted.

Rule 12 - Fireworks/Firearms
No person shall fire or discharge any firearm or missile or let off any firework in the Park.

Rule 13 - Children
Children must be under constant supervision of their parent/guardian at all times and not left alone. If you have lost your child report the incident immediately to the Gatehouse/Reception and the Park Manager.

Failure to comply with these rules may result in you being asked to leave this Park.

Additional guidance:

Pet owners should remember the health and well being of pets left in vehicles especially on warm summer days.

Due to water hazards at Emberton, special observation of children should be made so that no harm should come to them from water related incidents.

For the footie fans amongst you, the England match is at 4pm[8|], so get to the BBQ early [:)]

For the petrolheads - Robin from the OPC is promising to bring along the new 997 Turbo. So, again, don't be late [:D] !!!

Sunday's weather forecast is looking good too.

See you there.

What a great afternoon. Turn out was really good IMHO and the timing seemed really good this year - nicely in between the Le Mans 24 hour and the Classic Le Mans. Only the football disturbed it - but that was only late anyway. Great to see everybody - and a couple of Astons too!!!

Regards

Dave
