Just a quick 'hello'

Hi!

Rather than just lurking, I thought i should quickly introduce myself.

I'm saving up for a little weekend car for myself and a Porsche 944 is at the top of my list for an ideal classic to share the drive with my beautiful Rover 75 (honestly, there's no sarcasm intended there!).

At the moment I'm enjoying reading about the problems you guys are having with your cars. It's giving me a taste of what i'm letting myself in for.

Anyway, hopefully this time next year, i'll have a nice '44 of my own to show you guys!

Hello and why this time next year?

Seize the day and buy one - even a project so you get to know all the niggles before you buy a minter.

Good luck and feel free to call to discuss anything regarding the best handling front engined sports car that little money can buy

cheers

I have a very beautiful Rover 75 CDT Auto in 'White Gold 2' [:D] as it happens.
A well under rated commuting machine ( and cheap)

Best of luck with your 944 hunt , you will find all the advice you might need here

Regards

Mas

just buy one! you will never look back......... much. As for rover 75's my father has had 2 of them first a 2lt petrol and 2nd was a cdti auto withy all the toys. Nice smooth quiet cruiser ,good car.

Thanks for the warm welcome, guys.

I'm just getting to the end of clearing my student debts do I'll be able to start saving up. I expect it will take me until christmas at least to get enough money together to buy one, unfortunately.

I'm not so keen on a project. I'd imagine a project would become a money pit very quickly! Besides, if the car is sat on axle stands I can't enjoy that 50:50 weight distribution.

I'm glad i'm not alone with appreciating the charms of the rover 75.[:D]
