Hi all ,As said I have just bought a 1983 944 having just driven it home the longest way round I could find I am very pleased with it,

Well done Kevin. I hope you get as much fun out of your 944 as I have with mine.

Welcome to the forum. We are all looking forward to your 101 questions - it is about time we did FAQ's [;)]

Welcome Kevin, you have a very rare beast indeed (according to the typo in the title [;)]).

As John said you are bound to find many, many questions in the next few days. Have a quick search back through the archives and post your questions here if you can't find what you need.

Now we want to see piccies of your new toy [8D]

Congrats, Kevin. You realise Porsche ownership is akin to a pleasant disease - buying a car is just the start. Symptoms are: spending huge amounts of time thumbing through magazines and scouring the internet for info; a glazed look in the eyes is usually caused by the victim - sorry owner - mentally composing a list of jobs to do. Oil appearing under the fingernails is a very common problem as is a shrinkening of the bank balance. Oh and the contents of your wardrobe will probably be replaced by clothes that feature Porsche logos.
Would'nt swap any of it. Enjoy your car.

Thanks for replies, enjoying day two, spent today going over the car, only interior is letting it down as it is showing it's age seats splitting carpet is fading etc, still it is 23 years old, I am sure I can find some newer ones or get them re-trimmed at some point,
