Picking it up on saturday and can't wait!

Its an 83 "S" auto in fabulous condition throughout having had few owners and covered around 75k. It also has a massive history file, all previous MOTs, all service receipts from Porsche etc! It is light gold metallic with chocolate leather interior and teledials - This is great because its the exact spec I was looking for!

I paid £2300 for the car which (fingers crossed) is a bargain although I have a couple of grand aside incase something drastic happens, but I'm hoping it will be fine. It has had a recent cambelt, rocker cover gasket set, water pump and a service so thats saved me some cash.

Also all electrics except the ac work perfectly which is nice.

One question regarding the rear spoiler. It looks like it was painted black at some point but the paint has all cracked and is kind of peeling off. Has anyone came across this before? Is it possible to remove it? Also how easy is it to change the spoiler for one in good condition? Is it bonded on or bolted?

I'll post up some pics when I collect the car on saturday!

Hi Llew :)

WELL DONE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Congrats on waiting for a good one....:):):)

IF the spoiler is same as my S2 one....(post pics) it SHOULD be just black rubber....all 3 pieces...and although I have never done it...I am told its a PIG to change,,,I think the glass has to come OUT to change it....

If it was me and it was painted....id try and remove the paint...lol

Hope this helps :)

Well done again :))))))))))))))

All the best Brett :)

Hey Brett - Thanks matey! I've been waiting for ages so hopefully it will live up to my expectations! Will get some pics up ASAP once I get her! [:)]

As for the spoiler, I don't know if its been painted or whether its just the top layer that is cracking slightly - Its not really an issue but if I can tidy it up I will do. I can imagine it being a nightmare to change over though so not sure if that will be an option.
