Welcome aboard Nessie (and Tracy and the kids). [I'm assuming you've joined the club] What Region you in? You need to get involved - we're all in this for the long haul - no 'let's trade it in for a Ford Pop' around here.. And were are all good sorts. Lots of good advice on the Forum to make your ownership even more enjoyable! Welcome

Dave

Welcome Dude,
Your car sounds the same as mine. You wonder why you ever drove anything else? Nothing comes close.
Look out for rust, check right up under the wings, and keep it clean under there. Look above the hoses on both sides.
You don't need Optimax either, with the timing set at '0' crank, standard works just fine.
Change the oil frequently.
Keep the tappets right.
Read all the books.
Use the search function here.
Use Pelican web site
enjoy.[:D]

hi & well done for getting that car.
most of us with a bit of truth in us will tell you that we all smile when we get in and drive our 911?

good luck.

I've owned mine for 10 years, and I still like polishing it/driving it (and people still look at it - vain, moi ?). The buzz never seems to go away (or could that just be the engine tagging along behind ?).

Welcome nessie.

Congratulations on your recent purchase.
Just to echo previous posts, you will still be smiling whenever you get behind the wheel, even after many years of Porsche ownership.[:D][:D][:D]

thanks everyone for confirming that i have made a good choice. been making excuses to do the washing up just so i can look out the window at it...!!! is that a bit sad??? Cant help it though.
Quick question about the club and the forum, why does it say i am a non member here even though i joined several weeks ago? and about the regions,do you join them separately to get involved or do they put you in a region depending on where you live?? Anybody in the surrey region here that gets involved with the monthly meets or events? worth going along?
sorry for all the questions but i am just so happy...............

If it says "Non Member" by your name, you need to confirm your Membership Number and Forum Name to Sophia at Club HQ (email forum@porscheclubgb.com ) This should be a one-time fix, and will also allow you access to the member-only areas of the Forum.

The region you are in will depend upon your postcode, but you are more than welcome at ANY evnets organised and ANY club nights. Have a look in Porsche Post (mine arrived today) for future events and meetings in your area. The green pages bit should give you all the information you need.

BTW I have just had to look out of the window at mine[;)]
