Just dropping in to say hello!

Hello all,

I just thought I'd drop in to say hello to everyone. I'm a completely new member and also very new to Porsche ownership! I've wanted one since I was a kid and was recently given the chance to own one of the last of the great 944 S2's (pic attached I hope!) in cobalt blue.

I live in Sheffield and use it as an everyday car and absolutely love it. Hoping to get involved in some of the runs and events as I grew up with my dad taking me on all kinds of runs as part of the Morgan 3 wheeler club (he has a 1931 Super Sports); I remember them fondly and hope to get as involved in them as I can.

I'm also hoping to be able to pick some of your brains about some of the small niggly things that I want to repair on mine so I'll be hassling anyone with a good knowledgebase in the near future! Be warned!! [:)]

Looking forward to meeting you all soon. Unfortunately I can't make the 7th in Selby but I'm hoping to make the Woulds Run with the MG club on the 9th May.

All the best you all,

Tom

Welcome

Take a look at R7 site - Wolds Wander 23 May starting at Specialist Cars of Malton might be a nice first run out with the club?

Ring me if you want any details ( T.n. on application form see link on R.7 forum ).

Apologies - you are already on it! Take a look at "3rd. Wolds Wander - 23 May" post - details are there.

welcome to Porsche ownership, your find it can become a bit of an obsession after a while [8D]

i'm on the hunt for a really good 944S2 or turbo myself at the moment. but, it's hard to find a really good one thats not been modified in any way.

Hi Tom welcome to th Club and the Region. It's always good to see another 944 owner in the fold, we don't get many at events.

For all your 944 advice check out the 944 register section of the forum, some really good guys on there (http://www.porscheclubgbforum.com/tt.asp?forumid=15) and the Wolds Wander information is here (http://www.porscheclubgbforum.com/tm.asp?m=533563) this is a really good day out.

We look forward to seeing you at a Club night or an event soon.
