Wow looks great sounds great and pickup is amazing.

Only problem is it was a bugger to fit. I was told that it was a straight swap but on way, took about 4 hrs for them to fit.

Will be making noises...

But the exhaust really is nice, very pleased.

Oh and i bypassed the CV and its made a massive diference, it was causing big problems with the Accuboost.

I am away out to play..

pics will follow on Friday..

Glad you are pleased - can't comment on the fitting as mine was the prototype so it was fitted when I got the car back,

Only problem is it was a **** to fit.

Took mine to Autostrassa. It was up on the lift for less than half an hour. The original was a bit of a sod to get off and needed torching so, IMHO, it was worth every penny of the ÂŁ20 they charged to fit it.

All that hassle of getting the car up on ramps, lying on the ground in the cold with bits dropping in your eyes - done that - prefer to cough up the dosh.

I forgot that was today. Glad you're pleased with it, but stop now 'cos you're only a MAF away from my car now and you've only had yours a couple of months [8D]

How's the knee now?

Scary fast now wow, i thought it was quick before, the pick up is amazing. Lots of problems trying to fit it, wil prob end up costing a shead load!! But end result is top notch..

Dont have to fear, this years spending is over apart from any maintanance issues. Next year tho!!!

Getting an MRI scan and physio done.

Wil drop you a line tomorrow, going to venture into work!!! Got to colect thos emails!! And car has to go back to the garage tomorrow too.

Oh and i got the wheel bearnig done. Fecking credit card is laughing at me. My wife wont if she finds out how much this has cost, even i don know the final bill!!!!

I Look forward to the pics and the resultant video of the sound. [8D] My tailpipe looks rustier every time I wash it so I will have to make up my mind what I want soon. Everyone seems very pleased with this exhaust, I think I am leaning towards it

Mine looked rusty but still felt solid and then it just wasn't there.

Although the new oval sits nicely in the rear under spoiler, and it's nice and dirty now, it still seems a bit Max Power and tends to encourage the local Saxo brigade to have a go. Perhaps I should have gone with the twin pipe after all. [8|]

I do like the sound though and find myself not shifting to fifth just so I can enjoy the noise on the motorway. It gets even better when you get it nice and hot. [:)]

I got the oval end pipe.. And its BIG....No i mean VERY BIG... Brings out the Max Power in me!!!

But dont worry it really suits the car, fils the gap in the valance properly. Boy what a sound.

I am coming round to it [:)] There are now quite a few around, and the normal pipe now looks out of place in that huge cutout in the rear spoiler.

Arggh, what am I saying [&:]

It was the essential styling (oval option), were the fitting problems with the decat section? I know it is akward as when removing my turbo I had to dissconnect the other bit (the one the decat section connects to) and it was a right Bas***d even with relatively clear access from the top,

Tony

The exhaust comes from ESS and is made by Janspeed, full s/s system looks fab.

I didnt fit i i got a Porsche specialest to do it. There was a problem with the sleave that the wastegate downpipe slots into, it was way way too small, like about 5mm in diameter. Also a few bolts didn quite line up, but the sleave being too small really took time to solve. Oh and lots of heat.

Also i noticed there is no drain hole in the rear silencer, after the car was run for 5mins quite a bit of water settled in it and couldnt drain away, if the rain was in the right direction i think you could get about 5 gallons in the end pipe!! Anyway mine now has a drain hole 4mm diameter...

I need to be carefull incase my cat sleeps in there at night!!! Or a passing horse!!! [:D]

My tailpipe has a small drain hole just in front of the up sweep, when I first got it my brother found it V. amusing to coax animals out of the tail pipe every time I went to start it, but he has bored of this now.

Stop all of this talk about luverly sounds and proper tail pipes at ONCE!!! []

My car is supposed to stay standard and you're leading me astray [;)]

It could be that my head gasket has gone of course (always consider the worse case sceinario and then anything else is a bonus). Assuming it hasn't - the ESS tail pipe does seem to retain a lot of moisture. I don't know if it is distilling in the cavernous rear section initialy, and then turning to steam, or holding moisure within the silencer, but it does seem to take much longer to stop doing a steam train inpersonation.

Has this helped to disuade you, Andy?

Its becasue clouds can form inside the tail pipe and it can start to rain, even snow if its cold enough. I am sure i saw a Polar Bear climb out of mine this morning!! [;)]

Totally disuaded thanks John but...

then Tony goes and posts a picture and gives me an inferiority complex [;)]

God help me if Slim posts a sound file [:D]

On my Lux I fitted a new genuine standard system (Euro car parts - they were reasonably priced for a while) when under the car one day I thought sh*t my nice shiny exhaust (I polished it before fitting, sad I know) is leaking already but no, the standard rear box has a tiny drain hole at the front (the lowest point) to let the water out. It didn't seem to blow exhaust gas out so must of had some sort of deflector inside.
I guess any exhaust without this provision will steam more.
