A warm welcome to the Boxster fold.
Keep enjoying your Boxster as intended [;)] Mines used every day.

Boxster RS

Welcome to the forum. I've been a 986 owner since 2008. And I have my first MR2 race in March!

Chris.

Good to see you both. Enjoy the Boxster and if we get a summer this year it is great with the roof down.
Nice looking car. Hope to see you at some events. Enjoy [:)]

ta for the welcome yes love my top off *giggles* had the 2000 boxter S out on many a sunny day playing:)
Chris , mk1 or mk2 or MRS? and who with 750 or steve Vince or you playing were else??

they are a bit more bum happy than your 986 hehe ENJOY

It will be a Mk.2 run by Rogue in the 750MC MR2 Championship. Am just doing Donington and Silverstone to see if I prefer it over the BRSCC Boxsters. It's a bit cheaper!

ahh with patrick , you wont like the handling at all ,compared with a 986 they werent a car built for handling not even the GTs unless you talk to AW tracksport (Andy Waters) if its your own car he can really help sw20s are not fab handling had them for 13 years on the road GT`s and i raced a mk2 for a while

i appreciate your a seasoned racer but knowing how these things handle watch out for damage and i don`t mean from your driving, budget series make for bent cars and once they go........you`ll make up your own mind i hope you have a great time, check your pricing though im aware racing your 986 will be priced high but cash monopoly's are ripe ie one person will gain on you purchasing everything through him....ROGUE take care my friend i hope you find things different:)

let us know how you get on please.......interested to see how you found it GL

I met Patrick through a friend guesting with them for a race at Donington (she finished 6th in one race and a DNF in the second). We all got on like a house on fire, Carolyn looked after us magnificently, and again when we both attended the Silverstone 24 hour. I have since hired a car for tuition at Silverstone and my coach felt we made good progress in it over the day. I could certainly get a better feel for the grip limit than in the Boxster.

Everything will appear on my racing blog at http://88-racing.com (although I won't have #88 on the Toyota, as team mate Stuart Nicholls has it already!)

2012 cost me £30k for 5 rounds out of 8 - but that includes everything, and a ton of tuition too. Tyres are £830 per set of R888s. Message me with an email address and I can be more specific on costs. Would you own your own car? I don't at the moment as I can't afford it.

You'd be very welcome in the series. Come along to a race and talk to us.

Chris.
