Just renewed membership, and my Porsche history.

Hi all,

I'm a former member, just renewed as I've bought a Cayenne. I have just spent the past hour writing a great little intro to me and my previous cars, why I bought, sold, pictures etc... and then the sodding Edge browser crashed and I've lost it all. So here is a shorter, less animated version! Links below to running reports if anyone is interested in the full story of these cars. :)

Boxster, owned for 3 years. Had hard top, speedster humps, clear lights.

Cayman, owned for 3 years. Loved this, until someone crashed into it and wifey didn't want to go in it any more, so it was sold.

Was also featured on the cover of Porsche Post for an article I did comparing it to a 997 Turbo. :)

911, owned for 3 years, needed back seats due to the arrival of the little one!

I had this made up too for my Dad for Fathers Day. It was a photo from a Supercar Run and we are both smiling in the picture, so I had it done like the posters in the Porsche showrooms. :)

Cost £1.50 a mile to run over three years. Yikes. Loved it but reluctantly had to sell.

And here are the sports cars in miniature. 1:18 size. Need to add the Cayenne to this too.

After a while with an Evoque, I'm now back in a Porsche - this time the Cayenne bus! Love it so far, wife not so keen so it probably won't be with us for more than a year or so, but I'm happy to be back in the Porsche brand! :)

So that's me! Liking this new forum style too, much nicer than the old one. Looking forward to seeing what events are going on around here. I probably won't attend many drives until I get another sports car model, but I do enjoy the park display type events - so I can admire everyone elses pride and joy. :D

Hi Paul,

Welcome back, I am sure you can hustle that thing around on some runs.

I vaguely recognise the story and cars, but am struggling to put a face to it. I am sure it will all come back when we meet.

For events check out the sticky at the top of the R7 section, also we have our own events list on our own region section. Follow the Regions & Registers link from the menu bar at the top. It goes Regions & Register..North East..Yorkshire.

I am also working on the next email news letter which you should automatically get if you have registered an email address with the club when you signed up.

Mark.
