Hi,

I need some help as I have never owned an SC and seem to be going backwards in time now wanting an older 911.... from 964 to 996 and back to 964 (just sold).

Have seen some nice SC's on pistonheads, what do you think of this...

Any opinions welcome.

Thanks

Mark

Hi Mark

Not too familiar with the prices, but £12,500 seems a bit expensive for an SC?

That would also get you a 3.2 - are you specifically looking for an SC?

cheers

Pete

Mark,

Are you sure you're not being sponsored by Guiness?? Their adverts make reverse time travel seem so easy - but be careful what you end up with!!!

I'm no SC expert either but there are a lot of very knowledgable people over at www.impactbumpers.com who are and I'd be tempted to get some input from them.

Regards

Dave

Mark if you're in the London area pop in for a chat and I'll show you first hand areas of the body you have to look out for on these older cars, rot is the enemy, not the mechanicals.

Pete,

That SC has had a lot of work done to it, so I guess the price reflects that?

What is the difference between a 3.2 and an SC?

Sorry Pete - it wasn't meant that way!!! Mark obviously knows the wealth of knowledge available here, my intention was merely to point him in the direction of a web site dedicated to the range of models he is interested in.

I use the PCGB forum a lot - but it doesn't stop me participating in the 964 Yahoo Group or Rennlist..

Dave

Hey no offence taken it was meant to be a half humorous comment! Its so easy to misunderstand online. I use Pelican, Rennlist, sportomatic.org, Impact Bumpers, PHs etc. when I get the time but you're right in that a lot of knowledge is leaving the club. Nice to see the new technical article in association with Autofarm in PP this month though.
