JZ Machtech evening

Hi All,

Just a reminder that it's the annual gathering of R21 at JZ Machtech, near Watford, next Tuesday.

Always a good gathering, and if there's going to be a few of us we could slip away for a 944 beer or two....

Also, to pre-warn you - the Porsche Centre at Hatfield host the R21 shiny car evening the following month. A good turn out of 944s would be wonderful!

The Machtech evening has a great buffet, the Hatfield PC exceed this with the poshest finger food you'll ever see. Not the only reason to go, but a valid one nonetheless....[:)]

Let me know if you're coming to either,

Beaky & I should be going to JZ Machtec - if I remember. I could also be tempted by the shiny car evening just for the laugh - I might even try not to clean Beaky between now and then just to demonstrate how serious I am. [:D]

Bad news....

I've been informed that I'm at the theatre tomorrow.....

Real shame, the JZ Mactech evening is always good. Oh well, next year!

Have fun without me,

Would that be the "Comedy of Errors or "As you like it?"[:D]

I thought there was enough theatre on this forum![&:]

Is good to know that our leader is such a cultured sort [;)]

But then he might be going to "The Rocky Horror Show" [] or "The Virgina Monologues" [][][]

The fact that he has limited his description merely to "Going to the Theatre" is decidedly suspect in my opinion. [:D]

Anyway (back on thread) I will be going assuming I get back from a meeting in London in time and I have more joy with the M25 than I did at the last Ace Cafe meet.

You're all tooooo suspicious! [;)]

We're actually going to see "Dead Funny", a play about Benny Hill. I know it's good, as we've already seen it. So, I don't know why I'm missing a good night out on a sunny evening with you lot to go and sit in a cave.....[]

Spectacular turn out of 944's. Well done lads, always good to see you, for a chat and a tyre kick.

While I can't be 100% certain on the numbers I think it was...........two.

TWO???

Last time there were at least double figures......[]

What happened to Martin Creber, Brad, Bloke with Red S2 (sorry [&:]), Rick, Peter, Rick M, and all the others?

Well done John for making it. Everyone else should be ashamed. Including me....[8|]. It's always a concern when there's not a good turnout of members, as they will either not bother with the event next year, or tailor it towards the models that do turn up.

If it's any consolation, there were only about 40 people at the theatre last night. Although hilarious, it's just not as funny when you're the only one laughing! Made us wonder what makes 5 good actors bother, but they were exceptional when you think that they must know they're coming on to stage in front of a nearly empty house. Robin Asquith was notably good. I'm sure I've seen him somewhere before.....[:)]

I wanted to go along but I already had tickets for a comedy gig just a couple of miles away in Hemel. It was a shame to miss it, but the evening I had more than made up for it - If you get the chance, try to catch Mark Thomas on his current tour, I can highly recommend it.
