K-Jet very cold start problem

Hello everyone, with the 924 being off the road awaiting repair and ultimately spring i haven't been on here for a while and i'm currently in the winter car which is a Volvo 240GLT. It seems to have cold starting problems which only happen if the temperature is around -5, it will run for 2 seconds then cut out, if you keep trying you'll get each cylinder one by one until after 5 mins or so it's ticking over as normal. I know it's not a Porsche but it does share the same fuelling system as the 924 so i thought it was worth a shot on here. I think that it's running on the cold start injector for the two seconds then stalling when nothing comes out of the main injectors, if you douse the metering head in hot water the problem goes away until next time. Has anyone got any comments or advice?

Try the flap in the metering head. It may be sticking in the extremes of cold and not allowing the metering head to dispense enough fuel until you get enough cylinders going to suck it though the sticky bit.
