Karting Event

Hi All,

I have finally managed to get round to sorting out a possible venue and some prices for the Karting Event that I said I would organise for the region. I have told them that we are flexible with dates and also flexible with the type of event we have , i.e. Super Sprint, Endurance or National Sprint. For those that are interested I have driven both the Mill Circuit and the National and the National is by far the best track, it is in my opinion one of the best Senior TKM tracks in the Country !!. The track and facilities can be viewed at : www.whiltonmill.co.uk

I am going to use this thread to gauge interest and then once completed and to tie in with next months meeting, I will put a poll on the website for specific dates and event types so we can progress this.

Below are the prices for each event and the format that each event would occur :

1 Hour Endurance = £130 per Team- Minimum 10 Teams of 3 to 6 People "" Maximum 18 Teams of 3 to 6 People
2 Hour Endurance = £185 per Team- Minimum 10 Teams of 3 to 6 People "" Maximum 18 Teams of 3 to 6 People
3 Hour Endurance = £240 per Team- Minimum 12 Teams of 3 to 6 People "" Maximum 18 Teams of 3 to 6 People

Super Sprint = £65pp "" Minimum 10 People and Maximum 18
National Sprint = £75pp "" Minimum 12 People and Maximum 18

Race Formats :

Endurance "" Racing in Teams (between 3 and 6 people) a non stop endurance race. Driver Changes decided by the team, the team with the most laps wins.

Super Sprint "" Single Race Qualifying to determine Grid Positions and a 30/40 Minute Race (Grand Prix Style)

National Sprint "" 3 x Heats to determine Grid Positions then a 40/50 Minute Race (Grand Prix Style)

Included within the price are Coffee and Biscuits on arrival, Race Suits (wet or dry), Gloves, Helmets, Race Marshalls, Fully computerised race monitoring system and a fully structured event.

A two course sit down meal can be provided afterwards for approx £9.95 pp.

Please respond to this thread so that we can gauge interest, Sue (Dependant on Numbers) we may be able to open this up to other members if required. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact me on either dannyluckett@aol.com or alternativly 07780 686063.

Hi Danny,
I will definately be there, assuming nothing else booked once we get a date arranged but i will try to rearrange if needed. I could probably get 4-6 people to come as well, not sure about Rachel though, she crashed the slower ones at Whilton the last time we went.....[;)]

I'd be very interested. I've done one of those 3hr endurance events at Daytona Milton Keynes and it was great fun (not sure if we could get the minimum numbers required though?)

Danny

If it is at a weekend and yoy give a bit of ntice I can possibly make it, and I could probably get a couple of others along too if we need the numbers.

Goldtrack (run by Calum Lockie) often hold endurance events at the open air track in MK. Need about 6 people for a team - c£50 each. Can be a bit "bruising" as very competitive. But great fun [:)].
