Hi,

Have you considered a regular meeting at raceway? I have raced there a few times and I received a note from them mentioning that they had just opened a new track in docklands. The venue it also close to Fatboys Diner which would be a good meeting place for pre/post racing.

[:D] Come on you guys in London Region, don't be shy! Join us on one of Region 21 Karting events. We currently have one 'fix' a month. In the winter months we go to Kings X Raceway and also their New Docklands site. In the summer (May to October) we use outdoor tracks with twin engined Karts. If there is enough interest we could have a summer event at the Raceway maybe in August.

We prefer the King X track as its more flowing but Docklands has fantastic facilities more like a 5* hotel. However it takes us lot from Chiltern side another hour to get to and we find the track very technical and twisty and very tiring to do more than 30 mins on this track. It is also more expensive than Kings X.

We welcome new drivers and will give you every help and assistance. If you want further information on our Karting check our regular reports in PP, and if you email me ashley @ mcsp.uk.com I can add you to our Karting distribution list.

Moderator: Ashley put some spaces in your email address which needs to be remove if someone is going to email you; saves you getting junk mail as your email address can be pick-ed up by web-bots for spamming...

What a great day! A huge thanks are due to R21 for inviting R20 to join in with their monthly karting championship. It was superb to see such a well organised event by Ashley Miller and the R21 crew lead by Martin Nelson which fielded a packed grid of 36 karters. There were 4 qualifying heats of 4 groups, with a B and A final. Huge congratulations are due to R20 Londoner Jon Luik for taking 1st place with an overall win! Tanzi Tempest also came away with some silverware as the highest placed lady driver overall, and she just missed out a place in the A group Final by coming a phenomenal third place (out of 17). Maybe R21 will think twice about inviting us Londoners in the future [;)] Joking aside, despite the recent deluges, the sun was radiant throughout the entire event and we really couldn't have asked for better. It was also a credit to R21 that the overall standard of driving was superb.

If any Londoners have not tried karting before or would be interested in karting on a regular basis, I can really recommend getting involved. It was huge fun and definitely something I look forward to doing again in the near future. Any volunteers for Team Congestion Charge? [:D]

Londoner Jon Luik takes 1st place overall!

Congratulations to Jon and Tanzi; Jon that pose looks like you are quite used to being on the podium [;)]

For those who don't still know, Ashley has a mailing list which you can be added to for regular karting news; just drop us an email or contact Ashley directly to be added to this list.
