I have finally been able to organise a visit to Keech Cottage Children's Hospice in Luton to meet the staff and some of the children who are resident there, and also hand over a cheque from our fund raising earlier in the year.

We are joining forces with Martin Nelson and Region 21, who also raised money for this excellent hospice. Together our donations now total £500 "" though if anyone wants to add to this, please forward me a cheque, payable to Keech Cottage Hospice by 16th August.

The visit will be on Sunday 22nd August. The plan is to meet up over lunch at The Cross Keys, Pulloxhill, Beds; then drive down to the hospice at around 1.45 pm, getting there just after 2.00 pm. On previous visits by PCGB we have given short passenger rides to some of the staff, the children or there parents "" a rare chance to bring something different to their day. If you are interested, please let me or Martin Nelson know asap.

Details on Keech cottage can be found at http://www.pasque.org/whykeech.html

Whilst we have made these arrangements with the staff, there is always the possibility that they will have to cancel the visit at the last minute "" in the unfortunate circumstances of a medical emergency. So please, if you intend to go, call me or Martin on the day, or meet us at the pub beforehand to check that the trip is still on.

Don't forget this is this coming Sunday. Disappointingly, no responses yet from R10 - are R21 going to show us up?
