Keeps blowing fuses

That fuse supplies the DME (engine control unit) and DME relay. It might be worth changing the relay to see if that is causing the problem. It is relay No 1 on the relay panel behind the rear seats under the carpet. They are less than £10, so it's worth a shot. Part Number 141.951.253.B
That doesn't sound good. I'd investigate that area a bit further. There is a cooling fan for the radiators just in front of the wheel arch, but it has it's own fuse, and shouldn't be related to fuse C1.ORIGINAL: c8wol
thanks for the help...when i put a new fuse in it , a slight burning smell and a bit of smoke came from around the drivers front wheel, so i turned car of then restarted it and i was fine for about a week....but it just keep blowing the fuse...... i will try the relay, ..
I would have thought that if C1 blows then the engine wouldn't start. Are you sure it is C1? Third row down - on the extreme left of the row.
