Can anyone help direct me to a method of replacing the plastic of the key fob cover for the keys on my 2006 year C2S Cab 997 without the need to replace the key blade or the internal workings please? Porsche Silverstone quote circa £200 for a full replacement key and programming when all I need is the plastic cover on my two keys since they are split. And, is there any real challenge in fitting the new covers? Thanks Andrew

You could try messaging this chap - Elliot Holder. Not sure if he's a member here but has posted on 911UK and Boxa.net (see link below).
He'll supply a new key shell for £27. You transfer the key transponder and blade from your existing key. I bought one to replace the plastic key shell on one of my keys which had picked up a few scuffs and I can't spot any difference to the original.
