[&:] Anyone know how much a key "holder" will be for a 2000my 3.2s ? The main key must have had the battery changed so many times its come lose and wont clip together correctly. The keys fine and the remote locking switch works it just keeps falling apart. I would presume that because its all working it would not need re-programing?. My spare keys fine because its never used.

cheapest option is to start using your spare key and keep the main one for reserve. you should have a third key too which dosn't have the fob bit.

i understand a replacment fob is about £75ish from the OPC.

ok......your best bet is to take it down to the OPC and don't let them hand the car back until they identified the problem. I had a similar problem where I could only lock/unlock the car intermittingly by standing a metre away. They replaced the central locking control unit twice and still not fixed. Third time they replaced the electronic unit that I understand constantly rotates the locking/ignition code - think they called it the "tumbler or trembler" unit - I'm sure somebody can correct me here. Anyway, works absolutely perfect now but illustrated that its one of those problems that could be a number of components. HTH Jon

Get it to the Porsche dealer now before the warranty runs out. The key is not covered by the Porsche extended warranty and costs about £140 if the PCB in it goes faulty and needs to be replaced. (this includes the programimg of the new PCB.) If the problem only occurs with one key it will be a key fault. If it is the reciver in the car I would hope this would be covered by Porsche extended warranty but it may not be. While you have the Factory 2 year warrenty use it......
