Key out of sync

i had a problem with my connections on the remote and replaced the battery, i have been using key enrtyu for a good couple of months, i have now changed the battery and the fob lights fine flashing fast, but the car does not respond on central locking boot lit and bonnett button, i belive the key needs to be re synced, went to porsche and with out checking they quoted me 30 mins and £75.00 + vat, yet a new key and sync to car is £150.00

My question is , how do i sync the car or re connect knob to central lockin working, there must be a alternative to dealer

You could try restarting the processor in the remote. To do this, remove the remote battery, and insert it reverse polarity (wrong way up) for 2-3 seconds, and then put it back in the right way.
 
I am also having similar issues. Bought a batch of 2032 lithium batteries but little to no improvement. Bought some duracell batteries to see the difference, none seen. However, followed instructions about reversing polarity and soon after remote works fine. Unfortunately, only works a couple of times and then fails to respond. Reverses polarity again, tries again and is working again, for a short while. Now fails to respond.
I cant seem to keep it working effectively. It is so frustrating AGHHHH!
