Key Phob lost programming

Hi guys just looking for some advice
I have two keys for my C2s and both have now lost the ability to open the door remotely, I have to use the key to unlock the door and
Quickly insert the key to avoid the alarm sounding
I've replaced the batteries in both keys and the light still shines on both but no joy, it just won't work

The first key broke about a year ago and I've been just using the other one but that has now broken too

Do I need to go to my OPC to get them reprogrammed??
Any idea on cost??
Cheers
Rich

Some of the independents can do this for you. From what I understand, they need some details upfront to get the codes from Porsche, ahead of the reprogramming.

If you don't change the battery within 30 seconds of taking the old one out I understand the key will always need to be reprogrammed.

was fearing new keys were required so called Chris Denning at http://www.chrisdenningsportscars.co.uk/ for some advice and once again he came up trumps
he explained if you insert the key in the ignition, turn it on (not the engine) then press the button a few times when the red light is on it should re-connect ...IT WORKED
Chris Denning is a legend

Great news! [:)]

Did he mention its fob and that this is a thing attached to a key, not the key itself?

Pedantic I know, but I have a phobia about such things. [:D]

Regards,

Clive

According to Google translate it's "ffob" in Welsh... as in "where did I put that 'f in fob'?"[:)]
