Keys/Remote Locking

Key fob went very lazy recently due to a low battery. Needed to operate lock/unlock manually for about a week and then received/fitted new batteries to the keys. I am getting a strong signal from the keys (flashing light)but remote locking system will not respond . Are there any "reset" steps that are required ...any advice much appreciated.

Yes, there is a reset routine for the key remote transmitter. Basically, you put the battery in reverse polarity for a few seconds and then take it out and put it in correctly. If you want the full details send me an email and I'll attach them to a reply.

Thanks Jason. Went through the "reverse polarity" routine many times...both fobs seem to be working ok but will not perform on the car. Looks like a new fob for me as well. Did you bother getting two new ones?....presume everything is ok now ? I think the world of this car... the engine and its performance are wonderful but when it comes to "electrics" there must be some great job opportunities in Stuttgart[:D]
