Kidney bowl corrosion?

Hi, can someone post a picture of kidney bowl corrosion please? A friend has rust on the sill/lock area of his door and I'm trying to work out if this is the kidney bowl area.
Is the lock pillar panel 911 502 041 02 available from specialists?
Thanks

This is with the door slam panel cut away to gain access looking towards the rear wheel.

The kidney bowls are situated behind the slam panel (with the lock plate) and there is a convenient gap between them and the back of the panel for crud to build up. This is usually the cause of rust in that area as it holds the damp and salt, creating a perfect enviroment for rot.

Bubbling towards the back end of the sill extending up the slam panel will invarably result in rusty holes once probed. The correct fix is to remove the whole slam panel as in the photo to allow access to the rusty bits underneath....not cheap!
