Hi all,

A brief request for replies to this thread please if you are planning on attending the Kirtlington event on the 15th August. It would just be nice to have a rough idea on how many cars we might expect to see.

We will have an area within the infield for parking.

I'm going, but will be organising the bigger 944 display. [:D][:D][:D]

Go on, rise to the bait and get your 964s booked in. [;)]

Trying to rise to the bait......but hold it....can't book onto to a static display....because have already booked a moving (track) day for that weekend which will be much more fun [;)]

A boring track day? No international sporting event, no off-road challenge, no dog show? I'd rather stay at home....[:D][:D]

Hello Amanda,
I will be attending on sunday (and still considering going to steves trackday on sat too!) we are only round the corner so the sunday is a short trip.

cheers

Martin

I'm local and although i don't have a 964 i'm on the lookout.. perhaps someone could give me the details and i can come ands have a look at (and drool over ) your cars...

Kirtlington is just north of oxford - details in July Porsche Post - I'm going, but I have a 993. Doh. Judging by recent events we will have a bigger turnout than the 944s ? [;)] My tickets have just arrived - £5 each - bargain !

17Bex,
the details are on the PCGB website I think. the club office can give more details if needed and I think you may be able to book tickests via them too.

worth going to! it was the first event I attended (last year) and we had a great day

17Bex,
Come along by all means an have a look at the cars, have a chat to the owners and find out further information. We're a friendly bunch, I for one could talk the hindlegs off a donkey when it comes to Porsches. And there's plenty more like me.... You have been warned ;o)

Amanda

I had my rant about this in the other Porsche & Polo thread, but I recognise this as the official one.

It went something like this:

I was intending to come for this but I noticed in PP that there will a feature dog show & I don't fancy a load of slobbering hounds relieveing themselves up the side of my prized possession.

I'm sure it won't be as bad as that but I really don't like dogs & they tend to spoil pleasant Sunday walks by the river & such like and I don't want them to spoil my day. My partner is away this weekend, but she would simply want to go home if the place was awash with canines.

Dogs & cars don't mix as far as I can see, sorry dog lovers but not everyone loves dogs.

Perhaps a cat show next year? Maybe not, cats & cars DEFINATELY don't mix

BTW, Amanda should note the other thread as Kevin is bringing along the 964 flag to hand over.

17bxr - it is at Kirtlington Park Polo Club, Kirtlington, Oxford OX5 3JQ from 9.00 - 5.00.
I'd talk to you but only end up persuading you that 944s are better!
Cheers

Mike
