replying to my own post - hmmmm.......

Saw the Cayenne S at Ragley today - did you see that price tag?! ...£91K+ now that was what you call hitting the options list..

Sports exhaust/air system/ 4 way a_c / DVD players/ sports package / full leather / ...the list goes on. Well actually it was very similar to the GTS....

LOOKS LIKE THE PEOPLE AT PORSCHE PAINT DESIGN HAVE GONE BESERK AND INTRODUCED 2 BRAND NEW COLOURS FOR THE BRAND NEW GTS AT LEAST .... CAN'T REMEMBER SOMETHING AS COLOURFUL AS THIS HAPPENING AT PORSCHE IN DECADES :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

The Cayenne GTS, due to be officially launched at the Frankfurt Motor Show, will arrive in the UK next spring. It is the first SUV to receive Porsche's electronic damping system, which is usually reserved for their sports cars. This lowers the car by 24mm, and should mean some handling improvements.

The engine has been enhanced as well, giving 405bhp at 6,500rpm from the 4.8 litre direct fuel injection V8. This means that with the six-speed manual gearbox that comes as standard, the GTS can get from 0-60 in 6.1 seconds, half a second quicker than the Cayenne S. Also standard are 21" alloy rims, 12-way adjustable sports seats, and a vehicle tracking system.

The exterior bears resemblance to the Cayenne Turbo, but there are two paint colours exclusive to the GTS: Nordic Gold Metallic and GTS Red. Prices will start at £54,350.

Blimey - I thought I was a mad one because one of the reasons I bought my Boxster S was because I fell in love with the red brake calipers - and yes - had shoes to match ... but I really am a few leagues behind you Helen!

other women collect handbags (i have one) i collect porsches [8D] its a bit of an obsession.

So now you know Helen, the GTS is why they wouldn't let you order a Cayenne in Red a while back.

21" Wheels though I can almost hear the crunch of wheel rims against kerbs!! But do like the look of those seats front and back.

Placed order on a GTS today and sold them my 18 month 911 at the same time, so now porsche less for six months. Also thinking of getting a 2 year old boxster S to keep my porsche obsession healthy.
Anyone else moved from 911 to Cayenne and owns a boxster as well? I had one of the pre facelift boxster S in 03 and really enjoyed it.

[:D][:D][:D] sold my old 911 after buying the Cayenne to keep the Porsche obsession going until the kids leave home, which maybe never..... never owned a Boxster though.

Ordered a KN GTS today.

Think we will have the Orange or maybe have one in White.

Being a 4x4 they will still have eye watering depreciation but as you only pass this way once, who gives a sh~t?

Our present KN will be due a (Three year) change in late 2008 so let's bring the date forward a bit!

I've owned a few Porsches over the last 2 1/2 years and run a Boxster 987, Cayman S (now sold) , 997 C2s and now a 997 turbo, and a Cayenne V6 tip at the same time. I've just come out of the V6 and picked up a new Cayenne S which is simply amazing. Having a Boxster S alongside a Cayenne will be a very good combination and one I'd recommend highly. However if you want to have sports car like fun and only have one car then spec the GTS with air suspension and the PDCC option which really lets you put the power down in challenging corners. It's one of the few options I left of my S as I'd already gone way overboard on options and have other toys to drive in a very spirited manner cross country. I went for the pano roof in place of the PDCC. The standard PASM equipped S can still hustle along around bends at impressive speeds but it rolls a lot more than my steel sprung V6 did which takes a bit of getting used to.
