Knochill

Thanks Gordon, saved a wasted trip up there.
It would be a GOOD THING if Knockhill could email all the drivers registered for the day with max notice of cancellation, surely this wouldn't be asking too much as they have most of our details.

Mike

They waited till 3pm to contact people ...surprised it was fog I would have but a bet on that rain would have stopped play ...Last night's track was also cancelled.

The point is no one contacted me either by email or message on my ansaphone, it was only a chance glance at the PCGB forum and Gordon's post that I didn't waste 2 1/2hrs there and back.
Did everyone else get a cancellation call?
Who else went up only to be told it's off?
I'm not blaming anyone but it should be possible with a single email(from Knockhill) to contact all registrants on the day by say 3.30 to cancel if the decision has been made by then, I understand that the weather can change very quickly at K/H and there will always be trackdays wiped out at short notice but this obviously wasn't one of them as Gordon posted at around 3.30.

Mike,

I got a call from Ian's office at about 4.20pm. I had checked with KH at 3.15 so I already knew it was off - unlike last time when I found out when I got there.

Alex

If people want, I can run an email list to notify people as soon as possible of cancellations. Just send me your email address to greig@porschaforum.com - I knew by about 3.02pm and they had just made the decision at 3pm. I'll also post on the front page of http://www.porschaforum.com and here as soon as I know anything.

little bit of common sense lads , if weather looks unsettled ie watch national weather reports for peace of mind its easier for yourself to phone K/H before you go for an update as they normally have a deadline 1PM but in this case Ian Forrest was hoping weather (fog ) would clear but THATS K/H so dont go moaning that you werent contacted and not every one has access to web info to check out but most have phones so go and sob cause you should have been at THE RING very sunny 32 fantastic Gordon

I didn't realise it was a 1.00pm deadline for evening trackdays Gordon, good to hear you talking common sense.[;)]
Glad you guys had a great time, I look forward to hearing about it all.
Mike
