Knocking from the front end after an hour drive.

Hi All,

I get a knocking sound and a sensation on the steering and brakes after driving the car for an hour. The knocking dissapears once the car cools down over night. It reapperears again once driving after an hour.

The knocking is random but frequent and it doesnt matter if the road is smooth as glass, going straight or turning or travelling 5 mph or 70. Am worried about this as it feels after 2 hours as something major might happen to the car, hence reluctance to drive it much.

The car is a C4 Cab 02 3.6 tip.

Does anyone know what it is as my OPC says that there is something not right but in the month the car has been with them on and off for fixes have not resolved the issue.

cheers!

No idea as they haven't specified in detail whats been done. Will call them Monday morning to find out what has been looked at.

Have met a number of people with the same problem as me and their dealers or indy's not findig the problem, my OPC.. Chiswick have found the fault. Its to do with the inner tie rod which needed replacing.

Happy happy days!!!!
