KTS 300

Gooday all,

Has anyone had experience using the KTS 300 Hammer or KTS 500 card. Sometimes these come up on Ebay for a reasonable price. What's the difference between these units?. Will the KTS 500 do everything the Hammer does? Will the Hammer with software for a range of cars diagnose the Porsche or does the 964 need its own software module?

Any info will me most welcome

Cheers,
Bill

Bill,

I'm not going to be a great deal of help other than to say that you might find some more help at www.jdsporsche.com. I know he refurbishes the KTS300 units and can supply the special 19-way plug needed for the 964 and the software module to go with it. I think the KTS500 was merely a later unit produced by Bosch which, I'm fairly sure, can do everything the KTS300 can do - and probably more besides.

There are a lot of enthusiasts who have a lot of experience with the KTS300 - particularly on the 964 forum on Rennlist (www.rennlist.com).

Hope that helps.

Regards

Dave
