KW V3 and ride height

Hello all,

Is it possible to retain a moderately low ride height when using KW shocks ?
The few cars I saw pictured seemed particularly if not excessively low set - is it imposed by the nature of KW shocks (too little piston travel perhaps ?) or can ride height be adjusted so it remains close to stock ride height values ?

I think it's more the recommended settings from KW - you could disregard that and have it higher.
 
Yes they are fully adjustable for height so you can set it to what you want within reason. Most people fitting KW's seem to be pretty track focused so a lower ride height is the norm but it doesn't have to be that way.
 
Mine with KW V3 and lowered 30mm nominal (rear TB re-index required)

Its not too low IMHO, approx 75mm at lowest point but it lowers the COG and with decent ARB`s transforms the handling and attitude of the car.

Though I don't think they would extend to standard ride height. 30mm seems to be the nominal drop but no reason why it cant be 20mm say - though you'd still need to re-index the TB's so you'd best be sure you don't want to go lower as you'd need to re-index again. To be honest i've not found a problem with the ride height as it is. I have to take care over speed bumps but other than that I've not had to make any other concessions. I wouldn't fit a front splitter though - it wouldn't last long!

You'd be surprised - mine hardly hit anything and when it did it was just a light kiss. The ESS splitter is flat bottomed so you actually gain ground clearance under the car and the front projection isn't enough to cause big issues.
 
Not sure my friend would do that - the ramp down the garage of the building he lives in is too long.

Fen, would value your opinion on the splitter's effectiveness. Did it improve the M030 std setup (at say 65% stiff both ends) "floatiness" at the front at speed? Not for track use in my case.
