Ladies driving event

It has been suggested by some of our lady members that we should have a ladies driving event. This would take place in and around Knockhill and the aim is to have some specially tailored instruction to make you feel more comfortable behind the wheel of your porsche. The day will be designed to the members requirements but is intended to give tuition to build your confidence and comfort while driving. This will not be a "track driving" event and speed is not the aim, more car control, feel, understanding with the aim to make you a safer, more capable and more confident driver behind the wheel.

Initially if we could have some show of interest from lady members (or members female relatives) in order to asceratin the best format for the day. You will not be asked to do anything you feel uncomforatble with, nor be forced do drive faster than you are happy with.

Some of the day may be on the road, track or skid pan depending on the final format - where the track is used, this will be in a closed environment and is simply used as a controllable road, instead of being out on the public road with the "numpties". Here the instructor can stop the car, talk to you, give instuction etc without the concern of other traffic. There is no competitive element, nor concept of "track driving" to this day.

There will be a cost to this day, so in order to establish the timing, cost and content of the event could you please let me know if you would be interested. There is no commitment at this stage. Please post here, email r1@porscheclubgb.com or phone me on 07984 975 641.

Thanks,

Greig..

sorry wee yin, credit where credit is due, thanks to oor alison for suggesting this and making initial enquiries with knockhill.

Now let me try the alternative sales pitch......

Fellas! Scared to let your wummin out in your pride and joy - then send her on this course to calm your nerves (slightly!) [;)]

The Instructor at Knockhill is basically going to tailor us a package but he needs to know how many ladies are participating and what cars they would be bringing.

Come on girls, borrow the car in exchange for a weeks worth of "dinner on the table when you come home" or shirts ironed for a week, or get him beers from the fridge for a week, etc.

(sorry, someones just told me that this is what the dutiful wife does anyway? Just knick it then and be done with it!!)

Francoise might try in the RSR... But then Charles, being the gentleman that he is, might take the RS out of the garage [:D]

You're having a laugh pal! RS will be off the road for the winter, sorry.

Buy her a Boxter. You know you want one! ;O)
