Just a quick note to thank Wayne and Jane for a fantastic weekend away. Really good days out with a great bunch of fellow enthusiasts and interesting routes ( Especially Morrissons in Barnard Castle []) Hotel was really good and brass bear wrestling was most impressive in the hotel lobby - thanks Doug!

If anyone has any good photos then please post them.

What a top weekend out...

Many thanks to all for coming along. Good to see a few more porsches getting used and particularly good to have Peter Bradley reliving his youth out on the open roads - although i think I would with a 993 Carrera 4 in the garage!

The drive from Barnard Castle to Hexham on our non direct route was one of the best drives we've had out on the Boxster even though a hint of NOS may be responsible for the Corsa issue. Likewise Brampton to Alston wasn't bad but honestly i ws a bit porsched out by Sunday lunch.

I hope you all liked the route and the hotel and I apologise for the less than organised Day 2 but it was sorted out in the bar whilst the F1 qualifying was on late Sat eve which in hindsight didn't make us the most objective people to choose a route for the following day bearing in mind we were still in the bar!

We'll have a full discussion at the next club night about next year, etc and any finer points along the way. I'll dig some photos out during the week.

Remember, we're also expecting to have some good car movies to view at the next Club night...rumours of new RUF films are rife here in Yorkshire so I'll see you there[]

Thanks Wayne and Jayne. We had great time and enjoyed the company and the driving. Hope all got home safely. We drove straight home from Keswick via the M6 / M62 and arived just after 6pm (3 hours).

Look forward to seeing you all at club night next week.
