Lakes run 2005

Thanks to everyone that turned out for the lakes run yesterday. Lovely day, finishing off with wine and gingerbread at Rydal Mount, and thanks to Peter Elkington who runs the house and is also a 968 owner and a real Porsche enthusiast as the pictures will testify.

Wordsworth's house steeped in history and culture, gardens worthy of any house and home magazine, warm gingerbread made to a secret local recipe (kept in a bank vault you know), a glass of fine wine and a row of Porsches at the front of the house.

The finer things in life make everything else worthwhile.[:)]

The house is well worth a visit up past Ambleside just North of Windermere, even more so if you can get Peter to give you a bit of a tour.
