Lamin-X

I've picked up a couple of broken lenses on my main beam and fog lamps, and am planning to change the lenses to fix this. However, I'm concerned that the lights are just going to break again, and was considering getting some sort of plastic film to cover the lenses and protect them from stone chips and the like. Whilst searching I've come across Lamin-X at http://www.lamin-x.co.uk/ and was wondering whether anyone had any experience of this product.

Any advice gratefully received.

Hi John

I have no experience of Lamin-X, but I have recently fitted some Armourfend to my front foglights, and looking at the website the two products seem very similar.

Difficult to know how effective these things are, because the lens might not be getting hit by stuff, or it may be being pelted and doing it's job, either scenario meaning the glass is fine. But the Armourfend stuff was very easy to apply and shaped to fit perfectly.

Either solution then should be fine - by way of reference Armourfend for foglights is £20 delivered.

If you pop into a local window film company they may also have bomb proof window film and will let you have an offcut or two.

Hi James

I'd love to know where you got your ArmoutFend from...could you post or PM me the details...I feel like protecting my fog lights before they get worse!!
