Lampholder question

The lampholder for the front side light (the one in with the foglight) has gone, the contacts jsut corroded away so I'm trying to find a new one. Porsche themselves only sell the complete foglight+sdelight unit for £130 which is a bit much to pay for a piece of plastic and 2 wires. I need the capless (screw-in) type.

I've phoned around the usual dismantlers but no-one has one in, they don't take them out when they sell a complete unit.

Does anyone know if it's a generic German part, i.e. could I get one from Euro Car Parts? It's a little yellowish round piece of plastic with two lugs and two wires poking out the back, you push in and twist 90degrees to lock it in.

Cheers

Updated - the chap in Euro Car Parts thinks it's off a beamer. The one that is in there was actually a Ford part which is a) why it's got the wrong fitting and b) why it doesn't fit properly. I'd guess that when it was fixed after a smash in 1997 it was bodged :(

Porsche themselves want £130 for a complete unit, they don't sell the lampholders separately. So, apart from finding a breakers, can anyone suggest anything?

If its off a BM it might be worth trying 'German and Swedish', it may also be worth doing a search on the net as I seem to recall there are a couple of auto electrical company's which stock bulb holders for various makes of car. Autosparkes have been quite good in the past, may be worth a call. Let us know how you get on as one of mine is broken and does not fit the holder very well.

From what I can see on PET, part number 900 631 126 90 appears to be the bulb, bulb holder and wire but it's titled "halogen bulb" in the description. Might be worth running it past a parts man though.
