My 996 tt has the small ali pack, i like it and it adds a nice subtle lift to the interior. However, what was involved in the large ali pack option? I've seen a centre console on some cars that looks like it's painted artic sliver? was this in tha large ali pack option or am i looking at a different, "console in body colour" option?

Hi Danny - hope you are still cruising along well [] []
Here is the list of items in the 'large ali pack' from the US Order Guide MY03 for the TT. If you want the complete guide, drop me an email.

So its more of a small ali pack with ali side air vents and lots of extra leathery bits, which is nice.
I've been thinking of upgrading my centre airvent to ali-look, but wondered if it might look a bit odd if I didn't do the side vents as well which are very expensive. I've since learned that only the centre vent is done in the small ali pack so it must look ok- is this the case with yours?

Hi Robert - if it isn't a rude question, what sort of cost is it to paint the centre console ? Just curious as i'm thinking of updating some of the bits in my 4s also...
I think the painting and prep was about £160 all in, but can't remember exactly. The new centre console, ashtray+surround, handbrake cover was £160ish too, with the whole thing coming to under £360 all in. I'm sure you could do it much cheaper if you used your own console, and didn't use an OPC.
I do happen to have a centre console in the garage that I might be persuaded to part with, but I have promised the ashtray and surround to a friend, and this will therefore be switched for his scratched one. Mind you, it wouldn't matter if it was being painted.
