As it says I've just taken the 44 out for his last drive for six months I have a wedding to pay for but it gives me plenty of time to fix some niggley little bits in the meantime but I may need some help

1 heater stuck on hot I've replace heater control valve and cable tighed it shut so I should not be getting hot air into cabin
????? Whys this happening is it something to do with the heater matrix

2 windscreen trim one flew off a month or so back so need to replace that I've got the clips just wanna remove the rest of the trim to rub back and give a couple of coats of Matt black
How do I get the other two off without breaking anything ????

3 drivers door now won't lock. I had a issue where it would unlock should I just reverse what I done until it works???

Thanks for any help

If ever I am near Bristol I am happy to look at your issues if you wish :).

Regarding your issues however,

1) Pass. I would have thought that with the heater valve (the diaphragm item on the heater hose?) closed with a cable tie the heater would not be especially warm (it was not for me!) Does the valve actually close inside when it is removed from the car?

2) Pass again :/ I would probably try to go gently at the clips myself, but since I have not worked on an early screen I cannot advise here.

3) This could be the operating rod. It will be a doorcard off job to see whether this has broken.

hi ash
the clip that holds the rod on the heat matrix has broken, access from the passenger side. very cheap from porsche dealers.
if the other door is locking with the remote than you should look at the circlip that connects the locking rod to the door lock, you will need to take the interior trim off and look up towards the door lock pull knob, the rod will be hanging.
hope this helps
