On Thursday the club is holding its last track day of the year at Castle Combe. I hope to be there as weather forecast looks OK. Always happy to give rides if anyone is mad enough to get in and experience what a GT 3 is really like

Bob, that's a very kind offer - I may well take you up on it as I'm missing the track! If Thursday remains free I'll come along for a coffee at the very least, all the best, John

THAT CAR LOOKS THE BUSINESS CAN YOU JUST TURN UP AND PAY TO GET ON HATS THE COST ETC
AFTER A FULL TRACK DAY WOULD I BE NEEDING NEW TYRE?
CHEERS RICH

Richard you can just turn up but there is a risk the day may be full. You can check by calling Steve Kevlin or Paul Grainger at the club on 01608 652917. As its a winter session you can do a half day if you wish. The day is 3 hours in the morning and 3 in the afternoon finishing at 4. Cost depends whether you are a club member or not. If you are full day is £240. Tyre use is up to you. If they are new road tyres they will wear quickly if you slide the car around. If they are already worn then wear on the day will be less. Best thing to do is drive well within your ability and as smooth as possible then tyre wear will be minimal/acceptable. Drive like Clarkson and you can wreck a set of tyres in a morning very easily

Would have loved to have called by, CC is just round the corner for me now, but not around on Thursday []
Have a great day!

Bob I'm picking the GT2 up tomorrow morning (Thurs) so I'll bring it along to Castle Combe (although not to go on track!) I should be at CC late morning so I'll see you there. All the best, John

Hi Gary - lovely to have to car back, and the guys who did the repair did a super job, but Porsche are still sticking to their 'it wasn't our fault' claim despite significant evidence to the contrary. I am planning the next stage in my claim and will then place a post to let everyone one what's been going on - in the meantime I intend to enjoy the car!

Bob, many thanks indeed for the beautifully-driven laps today - great to be back on a track and in such a lovely car!

It was great to see you with your car John. Great day very slippery in the morning but dried out as the day went on and I did some good laps in the afternoon. Lots of interesting cars in the paddock:
