late 250T calipers 0n 220T

will lyons

New member
Hi Guys I have a chance of all 4 calipers from a late J plate 250 turbo will I need to change the hubs and discs also for them to fit my 87 220 thought I had better check before I buy them on Tuesday

Cheers Wil

You will need to get some 250 hubs or some adaptor plates because the callipers will not not bolt on to 220 hubs. You'll also need new pads and disks because the 250 ones are bigger

Thanks Paul,

I was unsure .[:)]..........I would have given you a call but lost your number, all is available though the car is damaged and being broken for spares I got first shout at them its at what cost to change the lot.

Thanks for quick reply though I will let you know how I go on

Are you not allowed to use caliper adapters in UK?

We sure are Oli. I'd dearly love to fit a set of those 6-pots but they are pricey!! At £360 per disk for the fronts alone they are significantly more expensive than the £150 per disc for the Big Black/Big Red options.
