Did notice that my new cards have holes for manual windows in them, and I believe they came from Germany. Has anybody seen such a thing, definitely a factory hole for the manual windows? Simon??

Interesting - how did they make those 6 inch speakers fit? Surely they would need to be spaced out from the door quite a lot to prevent them from catching on the window gubbins behind?
Oli.
Or else you could just nibble the door frame with tin snips to make them fit......................[&:]
They mount directly onto the door card and there is no issue with clearance for the window mech, however some slight nibblation (!) was required so they didn't foul the inner door aperture!

Yeah, reckon mines worth more in bits than as a whole.ORIGINAL: zcacogp
Whoosh - £165! And they are a mix - those are standard fronts but 10-speaker rears, I think. Our cars really are worth quite a lot in bits, eh?
Surely making some from hardboard and glassfibre (or repairing existing ones) can't be that difficult?

Stuart,
Thanks, that's a big speaker. How much is it spaced out from the door by? I'm quite surprised that that doesn't catch on something behind if the mutilation is only minimal.

It isn't spaced out. It's bolted to the door card, not door frame, and about 3 inches of metal have been removed from the frame to let it recess. It sits snuggly against the modified door frame which keeps it away from the window mech.
