(See my earlier post design 90 alloys for more background on this question!!!)
Can i fit later hubs onto my 83 944 to enable me to fit design 90 alloys, which year hubs should i use?
Any advice please
Thank you

The shock absorber mountings are different on the newer ABS hubs from the earlier non ABS versions so you would probably need the shocks as well as the hubs.
The wishbones are different on the pre 85 cars steel instead of alloy but I am not sure if the attachment is the same.
Not sure about the rears (except that my 1990 Turbo has a one piece bearing and IIRC early cars had 2 seperate ones) or if the early and later brakes are the same.

Alternatively you could sell the wheels you have and purchase a set of aftermarket wheels with the correct offsets. I am not sure if you can get 16's but I have seen cars with 17" cup replicas.
Alternatively I believe there is a Fuchs wheel with the correct offsets for the early hubs but these might be very hard to find.

I have a set of 88 Turbo ABS hubs, nearly new discs, and callipers (and Turbo anti roll bars), which you are more than welcome to try.

If they work I'm sure we can agree a mutualy acceptable price, if they don't then you can let me have them back.

Let me know.

Thanks John but it seems more than just hubs i think i would have to change wishbones, trailing arm etc so it looks like some hard saving for some spacers!!!!
Thanks anyway for your generous offer.
