Later wheels on an earlier car?

I've been window shopping for wheels and I quite like some of the later designs, but I am not sure if they will fit the 986.

Wheels I've eyed-up include the facelift 17" Boxster S design and the Carrera 3 5-spoke (from the 997). I know the Carrera 5-spoke from the 996 will fit a 986 but will the later designs fit a pre-facelift 986?

Also has anyone seen the 18" Sport Techno wheels in the flesh?
