Any advice guys on who is offering the best quality deal on insurance at the moment. Don't want to fit a tracker!

Jason

I always shop around for mine, but Adrian Flux Insurance nearly always seem to come up with the best price for me. I have just renewed with them again.

Unfortunately, I don't think there is any definative answer to your question Jason, as the insurance is very much dependant on your own personal circumstances.

Good luck!

There's a thread pinned at the top of the 996 forum which might be useful for ideas. Why is it that we have to shop around EVERY year? []

Richard

I've been with Adrian Flux for the past three years and generally they provide competitive quotes. A quick punt on confused.com to see if any underwriter will beat the price and Flux will guarantee to beat it. [:)]

And it may not be just price. I was with Halifax for 4 years who gave an excellent price and I thought was the best overall deal. But they charged extra for each continental trip if you wanted to extend cover to UK comprehensive standard, which made them about even with others in years when I spent more than 3 weeks away. But for basic cover they were always cheapest of all the sites I tried, including Adrian Flux, confused.com, etc. Then in a fairly random way I tried Nowell and Richards from out of the Porsche Post. And discovered not only was the price cheaper than Halifax for the main policy (which is with RSA), but they include 30 days full continental cover, a separate 3rd party service entitling you to like-for-like courtesy car in the event of a no-fault claim, and even (I recently discovered) free courtesy car insurance for when your car is in for service and you borrow one of those splendid vehicles available from your OPC. Some of this isn't well described in their literature, but so far so good. So effective comparison of the product features against your individual requirements can be worthwhile.
