Latest LIL update

Just got off the phone with Jon M and they have now had a good chance to thoroughly inspect LIL since she returned from the bodyshop. The really good news is that following the sideways smack into the barriers at Snetterton the only mechanical damage is to the power steering. A new rack and cooler will be needed plus the pipe that links them but that is basically that. As a precaution they are also going to replace the long coolant pipe that runs from one side of the engine to the other just behind the badge panel as it looks like it flexed and may crack in the future (anything to protect that engine is fine by me)

They have inspected the brake system and the master cylinder and everything is in full working order (but I'm having a new master cylinder just in case [;)]). I do not want to worry about ever feeling that soft pedal feeling ever again []. New Big Black disks and 3" ducting pipes will also be fitted before I pick her up.

My target is still Frontrunner next weekend - anyone want a passenger ride [:)]

Well that's good news glad you should be able to get it back soon, if I wasn't going to be on holiday during the Frontrunners event I would have loved to get a ride in that beast of a turbo.

Good news. Are we ready for a Red Arrows formation of the three UK 3.2's at front runner? If so can someone please take plenty of shots because I wont be there. I've been trying to get to front runner for the last 4 yrs but something always crops up scuppering my plans. This year its a wedding.

That's my problem. You guys show no commitment at all. How could anyone put their own wedding before Frontrunners? [8|]

Frontrunners is next weekend Sunday 6th April

This weekend is Sunday 30th March and I doubt it will be ready by then. I'll be ecstatic if it is though because I need to repaint my wheels when I get it back and it will give me time to do it or I'll have to put the boring silver spares on [:(]

That's great news Paul. Very close now. I'm very pleased on your behalf.
As an aside, could you ask Jon if he has any knowledge of being able to fit a larger m/c than the stock one? I'm investigating using one from a 993 but am getting mixed messages as to if it will fit or not.
Thanks
Patrick

Good to see Paul after all the heartbreak you had..... You have some patience ... Well done.....![;)]
