Launch Control doesn’t engage

Hi All,

I was wondering if anyone had ever had an issue with Launch control not engaging. I just thought I would try it out the other day to see how it compared to my 911, but it simply would not engage. I tried a few times, but no joy. The car was lightly used when I got it (Dec last year) so I am thinking that the previous owner may not have even tried it out. It is due an MOT in Dec, so I may ask my independent Porsche guys to run a diagnostic, but they did that when they checked it out before purchase, so a bit surprised. An ideas would be appreciated.

Possibly not complying with all the parameters.

1.) Sports/Sports Plus mode - on
2.) PSM - on
3.) Select drive
3.) Hold brake down hard
4.) Throttle to the floor
5.) Yellow launch message appears
6.0.) Release brake

All to be done in a couple of seconds.

Go for it! :ROFLMAO:

Regards,

Clive

Hi Clive,

Thanks for your answer, I am very familiar with launching Porsches, I used to do it in my 911 all the time as the kids loved it, you can even do it in Manual mode if you want... I am not getting the Launch message at all, it basically tries to ride the brakes instead, it is not engaging launch in the slightest however hard I press the brake pedal.
