lazy headlights

Greetings!
my headlight motor is being lazy and the headlights won't rise without a bit of a tickle under the bonnet, is there a clever cure for this or is it time to buy a new motor?? The car is only 23 years old !
 
Probably the linkages are needing adjusted and the links lubed. Either that or the motor is getting very tired or the armature bearings needs a grease,

I thought someone had had the good taste to buy one of the lazy eye kits from eBay[:'(]

These are kits that stop your lights so that they are just peeking up in a cute and endearing way.....
