Le Mans 2005

Fellow car lovers.....this is probaley rather early in the year to be talking about, but, I could really do with some advise re the above.
This year I intend on going to Le Mans with a small group of friends (not all Porsche drivers - E30 M3 cab, E36 M3, Z3 2.8 as well as a 964 and my 3.2) I recall from last year that a lot of you guys tend to meet up in Dover round Friday midday, take the same ferry and "cruise" from Calais to LeMans in convoy. Partly the reason for asking early is my brothers girlfriend is intending on treating my brother (E36 M3) to a surprise weekend trip their and she wants to know details and prices so she's organised. (yes, girlies will be coming with us!)
My questions are:
* Can anybody advise on the best way of getting tickets for full weekend access.
* Is it most common to camp? If so, can somebody supply contact details for booking camping space.
Im alright with the ferry side of things as I can book that through work. I just could do with knowing the usual "format" of things when in France.

Any advise or details would be appreciated.

Thanks guys.

Antony,
Have a look at this site for info and contacts : http://www.clubarnage.com/campsites.htm
You can buy entry tickets at the gate, however camping needs to be booked well in advance. Sounds daft but you might well struggle for this year, places get booked up very early.
BTW, I don't advise arriving much later than Thrusday, there's loads happening on the Friday and it gives you a little more choice regarding the camping pitches. Once you've been, you'll understand!!

Good luck

Thanks Phil, appreciated. I'll see what I can get sorted tomorrow camp site wise. Do you know if the Porsche guys going have a pre-determined area where they usually camp. Sort of like a Porsche paddock? Or is it a case of people just get space where they can?

Obviously the Porsche Club has its own area, this is fully booked though. Otherwise its just get in where you can.
HTH
