Dear all,
just let you know that Nick & I have booked to go next year;getting early fast ferry Thurs from Portsmouth, returning overnight Sunday.
Now,just got to find room for the Flymo.[:)]

John and me going again in 08. Tunnel for us though...ferry is sooooo last year [:D]

where you staying?

Were going with the club too. I may have to look at the thorny issue of renewal of membership (before david reminds me again ![:D])

Have you been with the club before?

I went with them in 2006 and found it to be very well organised

You have enjoyed several events as a lapsed member. Why not give the moths in your wallet an airing and renew your membership. Perhaps if you put your prize you won at the last quiz onto EBAY, the funds should go some way towards the cost.

I expect Fred will also be posting a less polite comment about your renewal.

I`m looking to go next year. Have you any links/ info so i can show the bulldog what its all about.

David,
I know who you mean, but others might not, with you mail saying(in reply to VITESSE).
I am a fully paid up member of R18 Lawnmowing & Landscape forum.
Cheers,
Colin(grass roots)member.

Last went in 2003,having travelled on the Friday am,so arrived at the site late afternoon.Very little room left to pitch one of the tents(mine) as I took the old Raclet family frame tent, which sensibly gives standing and sunshade and rainshade, but the latter was not required. So we missed the Barbeque,in fact there was no food left 4 us.I was not amused, having paid for it in the package, nor were the providers by my complaints.(must be the Northern bluntness).
We thought the other campers were a little inconsiderate in their use of space, expecting to park their cars(on a 1st come 1st served)basis adjacent to their tents.
This minor irritation soon evaporated with the total pleasure we got from the stay,so we are going early Thursday to hopefully avoid the problem.
It has presumably got better since & we are going in a larger party, possibly 8 of us,me ,son & friends.
Cheers.

damn and I would have got away with it if it wasn't for those pesky kids baker and hindle...[:D]

For the record david i've never known fred say a bad word against me behind my back or from hiding behind a keyboard...the sod always says it to my face!![:D]

I was trying to get one more raffle prize or quiz win under my belt before I rewewed but now youve outed me in public i'll have to renew...oh the shame![;)]

anyway david that'll be another£2.50 for the coffers [:D][:D]

Zeb,
I see the treatment for 'wad-lock' is beginning to work then. Yorkshire-man and spending - bit of an oxymoron there then, in this case you could remove the 'oxy' bit.[;)]
Glad to see that you are rejoining the hallowed throng (or in Dean's case 'thong').

Don't know what is planned for October's meeting, perhaps we could have a 'new old members' night'. If you win the raffle there will be a steward's enquiry.

Cheers,

people have been sued for less hindle!

old new members night ??...I like the sound of that![:D]

I'll pass on the thong though if its all the same to you:rolleyes:

your just jealous fred cause i can spell it and you had to look it up![:D]

The swines had moved the 'o's, I'm sure they came after the 'p's when I went to school![:)]

Better let this thread get back on topic or Vitesse will be starting his flymo without anyone to else at Le Mans to help him.

Cheers,

Fred,
nice to see someone with a sense of discipline. So how many R18's are possibly going then?I can then organise more Flymos.[:)]
Cheers.
